Riyadh Arts University has opened its inaugural academic year, welcoming its first cohort of students across four founding faculties. The university debuted with focused programmes designed to train practitioners for Saudi Arabia’s expanding creative sector, marking a visible step in the country’s cultural development.
Diverse Programs for Emerging Artists
The initial curriculum spans practical and academic pathways aimed at film, music and performance. Key offerings include:
- Film and television production and screenwriting, preparing students for content creation and storytelling across platforms

- Acting for theatre and cinema, emphasising performance technique and on-screen craft
- Arts and cultural management, focused on leadership, programming and creative enterprise
- A mid-level diploma for accelerated entry into creative careers and industry roles
Ambitious Vision for Cultural Development
Riyadh Arts University plans to grow well beyond its opening faculties, with ambitions to expand to 13 colleges that will cover design, fashion, visual arts, heritage and culinary arts among other disciplines. That roadmap positions the institution as a broad-based training ground meant to supply talent across many segments of the creative economy.
